You Don't Know Your Sizes?

Remember when you were a little kid

And you went to the department store with your Mom?

Your Mom would say a number

The Salesperson would say a number

You’d try the clothes on and it would be figured out

And that number was your size until you had to buy clothes again

It blows my mind how many men don’t know their sizes

How do you know what’s going to fit?

These are the sizes you should know:

Your hat size meaning the circumference of your head

Your neck size

Your sleeve length

Your waist

Your inseam or pants length

Your suit jacket size

Your top size

Your shoe size

Know your numbers, know thyself

However, it got me thinking about the close relationship between bespoke menswear as we now understand it and officer dress uniforms – a relationship which may come as a surprise to many of you.
